Wholesome, healthy, homely.
Derived from the earthen colour “brown”, Broun’s concept was to create a down-to-earth vibe served by healthy homely food and supported by wholesome arts showcasing budding talents. Located in a quaint shophouse at the fringe of the CBD, A bare MDF booth seat and “brounboard” across the length of the cafe directs the focal point to the service counter, performance area, and re-opened courtyard. The old ceramic mosaic floor was retained as a perfect complement to the no-frills vibes.
Broun was the recipient of Women’s Weekly Gold Plate Awards (2011), Petite Passport Best of 2011, Ladyironchef’s Best Cafes in Singapore 2011/2012.
