Industrial shell with internal oasis.
The head office of listed steel stockist HG Metal Manufacturing Ltd is housed in the top floor of a 4-storey industrial building. An external shell using corten steel to reflect the industrial nature, contrasts against an internal oasis to reflect the company's soft service quality. An internal garden was inserted at the office level and slices the deep floor plate into 2 segments to achieve several objections: firstly creating views for each space, secondly bringing in indirect daylight, and thirdly organizing spaces between guest and staff.
Well composed usage of raw materials achieve a modest balance of a corporate office and casual work environment, and reflect the honesty of the company’s trade.
